Joy is trying to say something about the sad/happy world we live in. She draws and stitches and burns and rusts the paper and fabric she finds and reuses to create framed collages, artists books and installations.

Consumerism is the foundation of climate change, spawning problems of waste, oil, gas, deforestation, farming, pollution,floods and fires.
Artists are in the unique position to tell the story in a way that people may listen. A little humour makes it all more palatable.
