2024 DROS Exhibition

Glimpse, the 2024 Dandenong Ranges Open Studios Group Exhibition, was an immersive exhibition featuring works from each of the year’s 44 participating studios. This collective display of local talent highlighted their individual approaches to art-making whilst exploring a shared theme…Glimpse, inviting viewers into their fleeting moments of inspiration, insight, and beauty captured by these exceptional visionaries.

Visitors embarked on a journey through the realm of artistic expression by exploring an array of works encompassing diverse mediums. Through the lens of paint, print, sculpture, textile, photography, and graphic design, these artists offered tantalising glimpses into their inner worlds, challenging perceptions and inspiring contemplation. This exhibition was a great way to explore the studios and plan your Open Studios weekends adventures.

Glimpse beckoned us to explore the collective imagination of these artists, where creativity knows no bounds. Many were captivated by this multifaceted exhibition and let the myriad perspectives transport them to a realm where every Glimpse tells a story.

with Leticia Hodson

This event continues the celebrations of World Down Syndrome Day earlier in the week where the lives and achievements of people with Down syndrome are celebrated world wide.
Leticia will also give a glimpse into the process of producing this work where she details the struggles, failed attempts and self-doubt that came from knowing what she wanted to say but not the form it would take.
