Glenn England - Ceramic Artist

Much of Glenns’ work is inspired by time and place and memory.
She is largely a vessel maker and her current series of work is based around seed pods. She considers these to be the ultimate vessel and is working with form and the lines and patterns of nature to create a series of seed pod related works.

Glenn works largely on a pottery wheel throwing a variety of functional and decorative ceramic forms. She has a gas kiln and fires to stoneware temperatures. She works in themes and generally has several different styles in production concurrently.

Glenn will have works in progress along with a large variety of finished, glazed and decorated works on her shelves.

Parking Instructions: There is ample street parking.

From the Artist

My work is inspired by my environment. I endeavour to work as sustainably as possible, recycling materials and optimizing kiln space to conserve gas. I want to produce quality, user friendly works which reflect my response to my surroundings.

Although retired, I am still active in the ceramic community and conduct workshops for various studio groups
